Indonesian Translation Selected Fairy Tales : The Snail and The Rose-tree by Hans Christian Andersen.

Semak-semak hazel tumbuh mengelilingi taman menjadi sebuah pagar; jauh melewati pagar tersebut terdapat lapangan dan padang rumput berisikan sapi-sapi dan domba-domba. Di tengah taman itu berdiri sebuah pohon mawar yang sedang mekar, dimana di bawah pohon itu duduk seekor siput, dengan cangkang besar yang berisi—semua tentang dirinya.

“Hanya menanti hingga waktu tiba,” kata siput itu. “Aku akan melakukan sesuatu lebih dari menumbuhkan mawar, menghasilkan kacang atau susu, seperti semak-semak hazel, sapi-sapi dan domba-domba itu.”

“Aku mengharapkan sesuatu yang luar biasa darimu.” kata pohon mawar. “Boleh aku tahu kapan kau akan melakukannya?”
